In December 2018, Greg Prosser became CEO of Samlerhuset Group (SHG). He takes over from Reidar Nilsen in that capacity.
Greg will take over all of the day-to-day management and running of SHG. He will head the SHG Management Team. Greg is also part of the Supervisory Board together with the owners Reidar Nilsen and Ole Bjørn Fausa.
Greg began his numismatic career in 1986. In 2005, he started with SHG as an outsourced partner. In 2016, his company merged with The London Mint Office and he became the Managing Director in both The London Mint Office in the United Kingdom and The Dublin Mint Office in Ireland.
Greg focuses on unity and cooperation both within and between the different offices in the Group. He stresses symbiosis, particularly between marketing and sales departments, as a good way to continue what works and improve where needed. The Samlerhuset Group focus has always been to give that little extra that sets them apart from its peers, or to be, in the words of Prosser, “a jewel in the crown of world numismatics”.
When asked to sum up his vision for the future, Prosser says:
I have been part of the coin business for longer than I care to remember! During that time, I have always respected Samlerhuset for their vision and what they have managed to achieve. Naturally, therefore, I am very proud to be offered this opportunity and am eagerly anticipating new challenges in an ever-changing industry.
Whilst industry changes seem to be pretty commonplace these days, the one thing that remains fairly constant is the people involved – and that’s a good thing. I am a firm believer in strong partnerships and I look forward to further developing these together for the mutual benefit of both our businesses. As far as Samlerhuset Group is concerned, I see an ethical, sustainable business with a proud and passionate workforce.

Reidar Nilsen and Ole Bjørn Fausa will remain part of Samlerhuset Group, but will have different roles to their previous ones. Reidar Nilsen will become VP – Group Marketing & International Products and Ole will assume the role of VP – Rare & Historic Coins. This means that both of them will step down from the SHG Management Team.
Dan Penney will take over as Managing Director for The London Mint Office and The Dublin Mint Office.
