Finnish football legend Jari Litmanen has been honored by Samlerhuset Finland with a commemorative ingot in gold.
Litmanen was handed ingot number 10 during a ceremony at the Sonera football Stadium in Helsinki.
Says Janne Häkkinen, Country Manager of Sammlerhuset Finland:
“Jari Litmanen is a legendary football player who is still the role model for many an active player of today. Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and many others mention Litmanen as an inspiration for their own careers. It is an honor for us to be trusted with the production of a commemorative Litmanen-ingot.”
Samlerhuset Finland has a long tradition of producing sports related ingots. Other athletes who have been commemorated this way include ice hockey legend Teemu Selänne and nine time Olympic gold medalist Paavo Nurmi.
