The Samlerhuset Group are proud partners with Humanium Metal, a non-profit company that promotes peace and improvement for people in parts of the world suffering from violence related to illegal firearms.
Illegal firearms is a serious threat to the quality of life of people around the world. Every day illegal firearms injure 2000 people. While many survive, they do so with debilitating injuries in areas where there are few or no offers on hand for them. Thanks to the efforts of our partners, these people find a way out of an otherwise downward spiral.
What is Humanium Metal?
Humanium Metal is simply metal from illegal and confiscated illegal firearms melted by the authorities of a country. Allies of the company later use the metal to produce peaceful products such as medals, pens and watches.
As the company is wholly non-profit, all profits from sales go back to the community from where the guns were taken. This includes both those harmed by illegal weapons and those who might otherwise end up with these firearms. In that way, any product associated with them helps making the world a bit better.
Humanium Metal is the creation of IM Sweden. IM (Individuell Människohjälp – Individual Human Aid) was formed by Britta Holmström at the cusp of the breakout of World War II. She felt strongly that each person needs more than the basic needs of food and shelter. IM focuses on a number of other needs, among them safety from fear and persecution.
We are proud to announce that IM Sweden and Humanium Metal considered Samlerhuset a worthy ally.
